Okay, now that we have looked at the plot layout of a fairy tale we are going to re-examine characters. We've done a character web already, but that only tells us so much. Now we need to start thinking about how characters act.
You are going to create a fake Facebook page for a fairy tale character. I want you to use a whole new character. Yes, this means you must read another story!!!
You can create the Fakebook page here. Think about this when you're doing the task: what sorts of things do we see on our Facebook accounts? Include details like:
Personal Posts
Responses to Posts
Likes to Posts
Friends List
Personal Information (i.e. birthday, relationship status, etc.)
Pictures
You can always check your Facebook to see what else you can add!
IMPORTANT - SAVING
When you go to save your page you will have to enter a password. When you do this it will tell you to save the link. When you say "yes" the page will refresh and it will be blank. YOU MUST COPY THE LINK IN THE ADDRESS BAR AND PASTE IT IN A TEXT DOCUMENT. This is how you will get back into your page later. NOT DOING THIS WILL MEAN YOU WILL HAVE TO RESTART BRAND NEW!!

Summaries and Plot Diagrams
Hi Folks,
Today you are going to do some work with plot diagrams. We looked at this yesterday in class.
STEP 1 - I'd like you to choose one of the fairy tales (either classic or Grimm) from this website.
STEP 2 - Fill out the plot diagram handout that I've given you.
STEP 3 - Create either a collage (using a word program or Photoshop) OR a storyboard using Storyboardthat (a program similar to bitstrips). You can see the example that I used above.
STEP 4 - Hand in your work when you're done. Remember the Stevens' shout out page and your chance to win some goodies!

Character Web Task
Your first blog task is going to be to create a Character Web.
Read one of the fairy tales on the blog and then create a character web like the one shown below for one of the characters in your story.
You can use the outlines I give in class, or you can use another program like bubbl.us or a word document that you can put pictures in. Have fun with it!
